I Love, I Need Your Aura

Aura Music & Arts Festival was amazing! From the moment I arrived, I felt the overwhelming joy that permeated the entire weekend. Everything was in alignment, and the atmosphere reflected it. So many smiling faces, so much freedom, and so much love.

Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park provided an incredible backdrop for the festivities. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a more accommodating campground (real toilets and hot running water — yeah). Wide open spaces, water features, and campfires to get us through the cold kept things cozy without being cramped.

I don’t think words can do my experience at Aura justice, so instead I'll use pictures. They say one is worth a thousand. I met so many wonderful people (I even ran into some friends I never expected to see), had some awesome hoop sessions, and made lasting memories.

            I got a little spiritual —

I saw some incredible art (visual and performance)

I danced away the sunlight —

And got down in the moonlight —

(I told you I'd be front row for Papadosio. I even got a set list.)

Unfortunately, I had to leave Saturday night, so I didn’t get to experience the awesomeness that I know was Sunday, but I am forever grateful for the experiences I did have in such a magical place. Aura was the recharge I needed to restore my love and belief in the beauty of being.

So thank you, Aura Music Group, for presenting a festival not only about the music, but also about healing and transformation in a time when they are so desperately needed.
